< View All News Apple Valley's Cathy Yndestad was crowned 30-34W national champion on September 21 at USAT Age Group Nationals at Hagg Lake near Portland, OR. More impressively, she placed 2nd overall in the women's race behind undefeated (in 2008) Coloradan Brooke Davison. Also medaling were two-time 40-44M national champ Brian Bich, 42, of Duluth, who finished 2nd in his division and 9th overall. Chaska's Curt Wood would have won the 30-34M division had his water bottle remained in its cage during a bumpy stretch of bike course. The two minute "abandoning equipment" penalty dropped him from 8th to 19th place overall and from 1st to 2nd in his AG. < View All News |
