< View All News Online Lottery Registration Complete FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE (Minneapolis, MN) - Online lottery registration for the Medtronic TC 10 Mile is complete. A field of 6,000 participants, including former Olympian Alberto Salazar, will take their mark at the start line of a special 10th Anniversary of "The Shortcut to the Capitol" Sunday, October 5, at 7:13 a.m. There are still a limited number of opportunities for participants to join the fun, while helping kids in the community, according to Twin Cities Marathon, Inc. executive director Virginia Brophy Achman. "The tremendous response to the lottery is evidence that the sport of running and the commitment to fitness continue to remain high on the list of lifestyle goals of people throughout Minnesota," said Achman. "Because of the keen interest in this event, we offer those who weren't selected through the lottery the chance to take part in the Medtronic TC 10 Mile through our fundraiser entry program." Twin Cities Marathon, Inc., along with its youth fitness partners, Bolder Options, MIGIZI Communications and YWCA of Minneapolis, raises funds to contribute to helping kids get healthy and fit throughout the greater Twin Cities community through additional entry opportunities. The partners fundraiser entry program information is now available and further information is online at www.mtcmarathon.org.
